WICKY-UP RANCH

Bed & Breakfast Inn

TAKE A TOUR

-A Romantic Gateway-

TO THE GIANT SEQUOIAS

Wicky-Up Ranch is an eco-friendly California bed and breakfast offering guests Sequoia National Park lodging that is convenient, yet far from the crowds. Located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains near the gate to the Giant Sequoias, Wicky-Up Ranch gets its name from the Algonquin language and means “shelter” or “home.” This working orange ranch in Woodlake, CA is a unique farm-stay experience now celebrating its 22nd year anniversary as an iconic landmark. Wicky-Up’s guest accommodations provide the ideal location for a romantic getaway or a serene resting place to relax and rejuvenate, as well as an opportunity to observe nature up close.

Your hosts, Jack and Monica, welcome you to step back to the year 1902 as you enter this gracious, California Craftsman-type home built by Illinois State Senator Fred E. Harding. This authentic, two-story, turn-of-the-century home features incomparable Port Orford cedar woodwork on the walls and ceilings. Guest tours will review family history and provide detail on the antiques, paintings and Oriental rugs which have been passed down to the hosts, fourth generation descendants of Senator Harding.

After a breathtaking day in the mountains or unforgettable walks in the Bravo Lake Botanical Gardens, Kaweah Oaks Preserve or a self-guided Exeter Murals tour, (See our Around Town Page for other attractions) you may enjoy sitting on the veranda listening to the sounds of water fountains and birdsong, resting on a hammock under the majestic live oak tree or taking a walk to the barn at sunset. At dusk, relax on a loveseat alongside the gold fish pond as the garden, aglow with little white lights, brings on the night.

Fall asleep with the memory of a comforting, renewing professional en-suite massage.
