Ideal for your vacation getaway to the country, this quaint, California cottage was moved in the mid-40s from the backyard of the main house to its current position to house visitors from the city. Its comfortable beds, strewn with country calico pillows, were once in the family's San Francisco apartment. Reconfigured by Jack as bunks, the beds, an upper twin and a lower full-size featherbed, hug the wall providing room for a rocking chair, desk with chair, and room to move about. A small, inside half-bath is convenient; and just by the cottage door in the garden, guests will discover a discrete, enclosed outdoor shower. Choose your time of day for an "al fresco" shower: the light of the morning sun or the magic spell of the rising moon. Fluffy bathrobes and shower shoes are provided.
